Every music and audio tool, by category

WallOfMusic sorts music and audio tools by the job a creator needs done. If you know the job, pick its category below. If you are not sure, start with the two that most creators use: royalty-free music libraries for licensed tracks, and background music generators for music built to fit an edit.

Some categories are about making music: song generators write full tracks with vocals, and mastering tools finish a track so it plays well everywhere. Others are about the audio around music: sound effects, AI voices for narration and singing, and podcast and video tools that clean up dialogue so music can sit under it. Stem separation tools split tracks into parts for instrumental beds and edits you have the rights to make.

Licensing runs through all of it. Every category page says what to check before you publish, and the licensing and clearance category covers services for well-known commercial songs and content identification.

Tools often fit more than one category. ElevenLabs makes voices and sound effects, and some libraries now include generators and stem tools. We list each tool where its main use sits and link related categories at the bottom of every category page, so you can move sideways when your project changes.

Each category page opens with what that kind of tool does and what to check, then lists the tools with a one-line description, a few facts such as free plan or developer API, and a link to the full listing. Tools with a longer write-up have more detail on how creators use them.

We write every description ourselves and link to each tool's official site, where current plans and license terms live. There are no scores or rankings. Paid placements, when there are any, are marked Sponsored.

If you make tools for creators, you can submit a tool or ask about a featured placement from the Get listed page.

Questions about WallOfMusic

Which category should I start with?

For background music, start with royalty-free music libraries and background music generators. For songs with vocals, go to song generators. For narration, go to AI voices and singing.

Are all of these AI tools?

Most are. A few libraries and licensing services are listed because creators use them alongside AI tools, and their pages say what each one does.

How often is the directory updated?

We add tools as we check them and remove tools that shut down. Each page shows the date it was last built.
